Family Pictures…you won’t regret it. I’m often amazed, as an Omaha family photographer, how many folks aren’t capturing their families progress annually on film. Let’s take this photo of a mom and her daughters for instance. Any of you who have kids know that these girls won’t look just like they do here for very long…and mom will look back longingly at this portrait. I know, everyone has a smartphone these days, I get it, but you’ll have to admit, there’s a significant difference between smartphone pics and professional photography. Not only am I honored when clients choose me to document the life of their family, but I’m also thankful that it’s a priority for them, a priority that will pay more and more of a dividend as time goes by. I can assure you that, looking back at family portraits from 20 years ago, none of us look the same! Sometimes a photograph is a treasured opportunity to remember someone who’s no longer with us, an opportunity for a future generations to witness from whom they came. As an Omaha photographer I can’t even begin to describe to you how important family photo’s are, I know that I look at photos from my own family with a heavy heart as some are gone, yet grateful that I have photographic evidence as a reminder of their importance in my life. As a family photographer who also practices a great deal of newborn photography, I start off with many of my clients when they’re first born and begin to document their lives (and the lives of those that adore them) at that point. What a pleasure it is for me to help families capture memories and what a blessing it’s been to meet such wonderful people who I have the privilege to photograph. I’m very blessed! Remember…once time has passed, you can never get it back.
